Project Description

Elsberry, Missouri Property

In 2016, GRLT completed its largest property acquisition in the state of Missouri.  The property consists of 240 acres north of Elsberry, Missouri along the bluff line overlooking the Mississippi River valley.  The project was funded entirely by private grants that covered the cost of the acquisition and stewardship fund.  During the due diligence process, it was discovered that the property is home to the threatened and endangered Indiana Bat.  The forest inventory indicated that the timber stand was an extremely high-quality mature oak/hickory forest with a low level of invasive species.
